On July 2nd, 1776 the Continental Congress voted in favor of independence. That date has been marked for hundreds of years with fireworks, family, and fanfare. It is a reminder that as Christians we are truly free not from the rule of some foreign country rather, we have been freed from the tyranny of sin.
